About us


Task Force Aspis is an English speaking Military Simulation group.
The unit is structured around a joint Multinational Task Force of operators from the British SAS, Canadian JTF2, American Combat Applications Group and supported by the Aviation Tactics Evaluation Group.
Our campaigns are always supported by an extensive backdrop of realistic background stories based on real geopolitics. This backdrop creates immersion and a sense of your efforts coming together in a bigger picture and you making an actual difference.
We balance low numbers, with realistic and fun battle order, in order to enforce professionalism and teamwork between people you know. Each member is a valued part of the group and each member is expected to uphold a role of responsibility, be it in the field or administratively.
We accept people in the age group 18+, provided they are mature and like-minded.


The unit has an established record of excellence dating back since 2012 in Arma 2.
The great majority of all personnel in the unit have stuck together throughout all this time and it is with this expertise, forged on both the battlefield and on an administrative level that we've started to really know what a good MilSim unit is and what our members want, and provide them with challenging environments. Combined we have more than 49.000 hrs of experience together and through the years of comradery and deployments and countless training hours, we are proud to say that we are what we say we are a veteran group.
When we play, we do so on the basis of tried and tested in-house made missions which are composed of well-researched conflicts and theatres of war which brings immersion and roleplay to the environment.
The unit functions by staying true to the founding principles of promoting good behavior, activity, and professionalism on the battlefield. In order to do so, we are enforcing discipline by giving proper trainings that allow newcomers to follow the instructions and guidelines set out for them in the agreed-to policies.
This unit was not build by one man, but by all of us working together towards the same goal: a culture of integrity, excellence, and dignity in everything we do.


Attendance Policies
Enlisted Personnel in the unit must attend a minimum 50% of Mandatory events.
Always post your attendance in a timely fashion, if you cannot attend post a Leave of Absence Report no later than 24 hours before the event. Failure to do so will result in an AWOL notice. Mandatory events are to have the sign-up function disabled.
If your attendance has dropped below 50% you will receive a warning and a two-week notice to correct your readiness level - failure to do so will result in a discharge without the possibility to reapply.
Element mid-week trainings are to be held every second week, with precise order and guidelines on how to do so found in our forums, in the Notice Board section.
Mandatory events are the following - Operations, Home Rotations, MRXs, FTXs, Platoon and Section trainings. These are typically run at 06:00 PM BST, on dates announced 7 days prior, and are not routine. The only routine reoccurring mandatory event is Sunday operations.
Do not set attendance as maybe for mandatory events. Either yes, or post an LOA.
If you do not show up to a mandatory event which you have no LOA for, you will receive an AWOL (Absent Without Leave) report. The report is written into your attendance record permanently and can only be removed if a proper reason for desertion is presented.If you for some reason was incapable of posting an LOA in time, inform your superior as fast as possible afterwards.While your AWOL will never be removed from your attendance record its effect on your career and attendance level does expire three months after it is reported.If you receive two AWOL's you will receive a warning and a two-week notice to correct your readiness level - a third AWOL will result in military dishonorable discharge without the possibility to reapply for 3 months following.

Disciplinary Policies
All personnel are expected to behave respectfully, maturely professionally towards their fellow comrades and ICs throughout their entire stay in the unit.
TFA is a volunteer unit,when in game all members are to act seriously and keep an effort to retain immersion when possible.we "role-play" being members of the military by emulating their conduct and kit in a simulated combat environment. A mission may not take the same approach every time, and we expect seriousness, maturity and dedication to the campaigns and any official event TFA undertakes, and failure to respect that goal will lead to your membership in the unit to be jeopardized. The reason was why you are here, is because immersive realism is the type of experience you are looking for.
No rank-calling is required at any time,but keep in mind who is your superior. You will be reprimanded if you decide to disrespect anyone just because you feel like it.
Attend Mandatory Activities in good time so that you are ready to move out at exactly 1800 BST.
At any point you must follow the directions of officers and non-commissioned officers in the group
Never post/spread anything racist, sexist, hateful or disrespectful. The consequence is a Non-Jucidial-Punishment with Dishonorable Discharge upon subsequent violations. Going too far or for too long is when an issue arises.
The group expects all personnel to behave maturely and honorably when representing the unit elsewhere.
You should only utilize our modpack from the Arma 3 Sync Repository on our game serves (both the operational and the training one). Using client-side add-ons is forbidden.
Multi Unit / Dual Clanning Policies
Multi Arma unit membership is not accepted.
other Communities such as Altis/Tanoa (etc.) life servers or WW2 are allowed as long as they do not affect your activity within Task Force Aspis. (eg. You go AWOL for a mandatory event because you are playing with that community)

Reserves Policies
Transfer to the unit's reserves requires you to must have served a minimum of two months with as active soldier. Any LOA’s taken by you in these first two months do not contribute towards this minimum requirement.
You must request a transfer to the reserves through your IC who will then pass the request to unit HQ. If you meet the requirements your transfer request will be effective from the time your IC receives your request.
The request must specify a start and end date of your transfer as you will automatically be re-enlisted.
When going to ELOA you lose your current MOS billet and the rank that comes with it.
If you're an officer you cannot be demoted.

Utilize the Chain of Command.
Follow orders. If you have an issue, discuss it later during an AAR or in private.
Should you have an issue, discuss it with your Section Leader first, present it to higher positions only if these people cannot help you either through them or yourself.
Conduct yourself professionally and play to the best of your ability.
If you are in a leadership position, do not abuse your power.
Absolutely no cheating. If you cheat on any server (ours or otherwise) you will be removed from the unit.

All members are expected to uphold the Code of Conduct:
I will to the best of my ability always behave professionally.
I will be loyal to the group and loyal to my comrades.
I will take responsibility for my actions and comments.
I will respect everyone regardless of rank. This includes members and players from other units. If I have a personal issue, I shall present it my leader through the Chain of Command

Violating our rules of conduct will result in action. Depending on the situation the possibilities include:
  • Immediate Discharge
  • Loss of rank.
  • A loss of position or responsibilities/privileges.
  • Probation.
  • All of the above.
